Here's all the info you need to know for this week! We had to shift plans around a little bit with the rescheduling of marching band MPA. Thank you for your flexibility
We will have two brief marching band rehearsals this week to review the show before marching mpa. EDIT: NO REHEARSAL ON TUESDAY - we will have a short rehearsal on Wednesday before the parade from 2:30 - 3:30pm instead. Wedneaday - 11/1, rehearsal/homecoming parade/jag challenge. The parade buses will begin taking us from PSLHS to village green at 4:00pm. After the parade, the band will have a short amount of time to eat a snack/packed food before we transition to Jag challenge in the gym. Jag challenge starts at 6:00pm and should be over around 7:15pm. The band will be dismissed after Jag Challenge. Thursday - 11/2, rehearsal will be from 2:30 - 4:00pm. This will be our final rehearsal before the rescheduled marching MPA. Friday- 11/3, homecoming football game/alumni night. The Bands call time will be 5:15 in game uniform. Band homecoming reps should show up in formal attire for the ceremony. We will be performing our halftime show AFTER the game. Saturday - 11/4, Marching MPA. An updated itinerary will be made this week as soon as the new schedule is published. Jacket/Hoodie money is due on Monday by the end of the day. Symphonic band seating order auditions will be on November 6th and 7th in your band classes. Specific music for the audition will be selections from the halftime show, plus major scales. Good morning band,
I regret to inform you that Marching MPA has been rescheduled for NEXT Saturday, November 4th, due to severe weather forecasted for tomorrow. I am aware that this is not the decision we wanted to hear, and, like we talked about yesterday, if you would like to leave after our performance to make it to the homecoming dance, we can make the necessary arrangements to accommodate this. MPA is definitely still mandatory for all members, and will count as 2 test grades. If you would like to stay, the band will be staying after to support other bands, as well as hear our rating announced at the end of the night. If you have purchased a homecoming ticket already and would like to stay through MPA, we can work on getting you reimbursed. This season has very much tested our diligence and patience, and I am very proud at all the work we have still managed to accomplish. I am truly appreciative of your flexibility and effort. A schedule for next week will be published this weekend, as well as an updated itinerary for MPA. Thanks for everything, and let me know if you have any questions.
