Hey everyone! I hope you are all doing well and got through the storm without any damage! We finally should be out of hurricane season (fingers crossed), so it seems our area was lucky for another season.
We are now officially in Holiday Season! Here’s what to expect as we gear up for the winter concert and gift wrap booth season! - Due to the storm changes, I have altered the calendar a little bit to accommodate all ensembles before the concert. - Wind Ensemble will rehearse each Tuesday from 2-4pm between now and the winter concert, beginning this Tuesday. - Jazz band will rehearse AFTER wind ensemble on the same day from 4:15-5:30pm. Students in both wind ensemble and jazz will have two rehearsals on tuesdays. - The first winterguard practice will be THIS Tuesday from 2:30-5pm, all color guard members and any one additional interested in trying out for winter guard should plan to attend. Band students will split time with rehearsal and guard practice. - The first Pit rehearsal for Anything Goes will be this Tuesday from 6-8pm! A full list of those participating will be published tomorrow morning once I receive all the auditions. - Symphonic band will rehearse on Thursday from 2:00-4:00pm. This is for all students in 3rd period, plus additional students who want to play in symphonic as well. - Thursday evening from 6-7pm, we will have a gift wrap booth meeting/ wrapping lesson for all that want to receive details regarding our fundraiser, and learn how to wrap like a pro! - We will be setting up the actual gift wrap booth on Sunday November 27th and are looking for about 8-10 students and adults to assist with loading up and constructing/decorating! We will meet at the school at 6pm to load, and set up at the mall at 7pm once it closes. Let me know if you’re available to help! Please reach out with any questions!
